Introduction |

This two-day, exercise-based workshop focuses on writing emails, letters, memos, ad hoc reports and minutes. You will learn to:
- write clearly and concisely so that your reader can get your message quickly
- increase your professionalism by using the appropriate tone and style; and
- avoid common errors in punctuation, spelling and grammar.
Participants will need to submit samples of their written work. Feedback on the writing samples will be given in one-to-one sessions with the participants.

About the facilitator |

Ms Abraham has more than ten years of international commercial experience in research, consulting and marketing. She started her career in 1987 as a central banker in India and later moved to Sri Lanka to work as a business consultant on Government and USAID projects. Moving to Geneva a few years later, she contributed news and feature articles for a business newspaper. She then relocated to London in 1995 where she was responsible for the marketing and distribution of publications at an international organisation. She produced publicity material, carried out reader surveys and assisted with the writing of project proposals. Besides English, she speaks two Indian languages and some Sinhala and French. She has taught participants from Bank of America, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Chanel, Citibank, CLP Power, Electrical & Mechanical Services Department, Environmental Protection Department, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, HSBC Global Asset Management, Invesco, Jardine Matheson, Jones Lang Lasalle, JPMorgan Chase Bank, Lands Department, Louis Vuitton Korea, LVMH Fashion Group, Moet-Hennessy, Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, Parfums Christian Dior, Parfums Kenzo, Ricoh, Shell, Social Welfare Department, Swarovski, The Hong Kong Housing Authority, The Swatch Group, Treasury Department and many other organisations.
